I just got back from working at the warehouse. The stage is in the process of being taken apart; that’s what I worked on. That about the extent of my carpentry skills – destruction! It was really fun hitting things with a hammer.
Another group worked on painting the portable walls used for Kazuri and Upstreet. You’ll love the colors – they’ll really liven up the rooms!
We had ten to fifteen folks out tonight, a good-sized group. If you’re sorry you missed working so far this week, they’ll be another group tomorrow night. Come on out. I’m sure “Foreman” Rob can find a job for you!

Learn MoreWe had a great work night last night! We had lots of help and got all the wood and the Bug sent to storage. We also took a full load including Kidstuf stage props (purple couch and fridge) and 3 couches to our other storage. We had a crew packing in Kazuri and another group cleaning out in the kitchen. We will NOT work tonight (Wednesday) but we will be loading for storage again on Thursday evening at 6p.m. Thanks to everyone who worked….together we are making it happen!!

We had a very productive night working tonight. We had a lot of strong backs so we moved all the chairs from the Children’s Ministry Building over to the Warehouse and we took a huge load of wood (including all the plywood) to storage! I am grateful and humble again for all those willing to give up their free evening to prepare for Operation Mobile Impact!! Thank you all soooooo very much!!
We will be announcing next week’s work schedule on Sunday. Hope everyone is planning to attend our 10th anniversary celebration on Sunday and enjoy some barbecue afterwards!!

We had another great work night in the Children’s Ministry building! First and foremost I must tell the coolest part of the night…..in the midst of deconstructing the building, we built up the Body of Christ….one of our youth got saved last night!! We are all so happy for you, Chelsea!! Okay, back to the manual labor update…..ALL of the Kidstuf props were packed and delivered to storage by one of our small groups! We also emptied out the youth room and cleaned up the construction site in there. The Kidstuf set is completely down and most of the tech booth was dismantled. We even cleaned out the fridge (science projects were growing in there!) and some of the kitchen cabinets! The youth came out and worked too and that was a blessing. I enjoyed watching the fellowship take place as people that didn’t know each other all that well worked cooperatively to get a job done and then became fast friends!
We will have a lighter night tonight and mostly do some sorting in the Clubhouse as everything is now in that room and has to be organized for delivery to the storage facility. We have a 60% chance of showers today and tonight so we will not be taking any loads of wood tonight. If a few want to come out to clean and sort that would be great but otherwise take the night off and give yourselves a pat on the back for a week of great work. If Saturday is a nice day, we may be looking at hauling the rest of the wood for storage. Keep checking back and we will get word out. We now have access to a 16 foot open trailer as well as an 8 foot trailer so we will be able to get all the wood out in one trip!!
Thanks again to all who have worked and prayed and supported this project! Your attitudes and willingness to give of yourselves has been huge evidence of what a great God we serve and how great it is to be a part of the Harvest family!!

Learn MoreGreat work night! We finished dismantling Kidstuf stage and Youth stage and loaded a LOT of wood onto a trailer and delivered to storage. Wednesday night work will be sending all Kidstuf props to storage; moving everything from youth room to Kidstuf clubhouse; moving wood to storage (if not raining tonight); cleaning; etc. (etc. means depending on how many people we have). THANK YOU BIG for all of you that have helped so far. YOU are getting it done. Hope to see many of you tonight!!
