is where our preschoolers (birth-5 yrs) are cared for in small groups. “Kazuri” is Swahili for “small and beautiful”. We believe that God has given us the privilege of loving and leading the small and beautiful! Our goal in Kazuri Land is to make a first impression of our Heavenly Father in such a way that we make a lasting impression on the heart of each child.
We look forward to seeing you in Kazuri Land. Please know that you are a welcome guest, and we hope that you and your children have a wonderful first experience. Our staff and volunteers work hard to create a safe and meaningful class experience. Here are a few things that will help you have a successful morning.![]()

If you decide to enroll your child, you will fill out an enrollment form, and your child will be placed in a small group based on ages and developmental stages. We will then give you a key tag that you will use to check in your child each Sunday. When you visit again, they can be checked right into the same classroom they attended before.
We hope you decide to make Harvest Community Church your church home.
We know that leaving your new baby for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all of the needs of your infant. We hope that the following information will help you and your baby have a great experience on Sunday morning.
Please bring diapers, bottles, pacifiers, and any special blankets that will soothe your baby through the morning.
Label all items that belong to your baby.
This is a fun and active stage in your children’s lives. We are excited to have them in Kazuri Land and look forward to teaching them that God loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.
Our teaching plan begins in our toddler classrooms. All activities are age- appropriate with plenty of flexibility for the normal needs of toddlers and two-year-olds. We “Make it Fun” through activities, “Make it True” through music and dance followed by a DVD of the bible story, “Make it Stick” by follow-up activities; and lastly, we “Make it Real” through small group discussion and prayer.
Small Talk cards are given to your children telling what they learned for the day. You are the best teacher for your children, so use the Small Talk cards to talk with them about God all week at home.
We believe that it is our responsibility to introduce preschoolers to their Heavenly Father. So before they leave Kazuri Land, we want them to know:
God loves me, God made me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Every month we focus on one of these three basic truths. We “Make it Fun” through activities, “Make it True” through music and dance followed by a DVD of the bible story, “Make it Stick” by follow-up activities; and lastly, we “Make it Real” through small group discussion and prayer.Small Talk cards are given to your children telling what they learned for the day. You are the best teacher for your children, so use the Small Talk cards to talk with them about God all week at home.
We want Sunday to be the BEST DAY of your child’s week.

volunteers show up and work together in their unique roles to create a loving environment for our preschoolers. Kazuri Land is completely fueled by volunteers. We could not exist without their leadership and expertise. Some of the volunteer roles are:
Care for an assigned small group of children each week and consistently connect with their families and are responsible to oversee and delegate the overall needs of the children within a classroom.
Lead the children in singing 2-3 songs that coincide with the monthly lesson, teaching them the words and motions.
Greets new families as they enter Kazuri Land and guides them through the process of checking in to classrooms.
We would love to talk with you about joining our team. If you are interested and would like more information about volunteering in Kazuri Land, click here.
