The focus in UpStreet is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God’s word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That is why it’s important to make sure you r child connects with the same friends, same group of leaders, at the same hour – EVERY SUNDAY!
Our Mission: To lead children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
In UpStreet, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship, can be loud and good leaders always care. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these 3 things stick:
1. I need to make the wise choice
2. I can trust God no matter what
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated
Time for Worship
We start off by worshiping God in a fun, energetic way through high-energy songs couple with easy-to-learn choreography!
Plug -In
Introduces children to the day’s topic in a setting that gives them individualized attention from their SG Leader and plenty of interaction with a small group of peers.
Bible Story
Our feature presentation is delivered via DVD and is a creative presentation of the weekly Bible story through a professional storyteller and a dynamic dramatization.
Catch On
Helps kids understand how the day’s topic applies to them. They’ll discuss real-life experiences, interact with a close-knit group of peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles. Life-application and memory-verse activities, as well as prayer, are always a part of the hands-on time.
The average child will spend over 1,000 hours every year in school and they will spend less than 50 hours in church. The average parent has more than 10 times the opportunities to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader does in 10 years. The church has limited potential to impact the heart of your child. WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME in many ways is more important than what happens in church!
The following tools are available to assist in your partnership with UpStreet:
Parent Cue Cards: Weekly parent’s notes to encourage parents to interact with and teach their children about faith and character. These cards communicate four things to parents:
1. the month’s virtue and the week’s faith skill
2. the month’s memory verse
3. the week’s Bible story
4. a specific question(s) for parents to ask their child and talk about.

GodTime cards (Devotionals for kids): Kids’ notes to help children establish a consistent devotional experience
There are four different devotions on each GotTime card.
Each day’s devotion includes:
1. a verse(s) to read
2. a devotion paragraph that teaches something about God and an explanation of today’s verse(s)
3. an activity that makes reall-life application of the day’s devotion
4. a suggested prayer

volunteers show up and work together in their unique role to create an amazing environment for our kids. UpStreet is totally volunteer fueled and wouldn’t exist without the leadership and expertise of our volunteers. Each volunteer has a part to play on our team. Some of the volunteer roles are:
Serves as the primary role model for the same group of eight to ten kids on a weekly basis. They study the curriculum and prepares for the lessons and activities. And most importantly, they pray for the children and UpStreet ministry.
The Assists helps the leader with each group. They study the curriculum to assist with the lessons and activities. And most importantly, they pray for the children and UpStreet ministry.
UpStreet Friends are responsible for greeting kids at check-in and escorting them to their small group.
The Resource Coordinator obtains the materials needed for each small group. They also manage the supply inventory.
Works collaboratively as a team in planning period events for UpStreet Families to enjoy with the goal of building community among kids, parents and UpStreet Small Group Leaders.
We would love to talk to you about joining our team. If you would like more information about volunteering on UpStreet, click here.
